Australian & New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry

Australian & New Zealand Clinical Trials Registry or ANZCTR is a voluntary registry covering a range of trials and intervention types. In 2017, the ANZCTR staff have estimated that it captures 75-80% of clinical trial activity in Australia (Source: MTP Connect Report Clinical Trials in Australia. ClinicalTrials.gov

ClinicalTrials.gov is a resource provided by the U.S. National Library of Medicine. It is a database of clinical trials conducted around the world.  There are over 272, 882 research studies in 203 countries.

ClinTrial Refer (CTR) 

Clin Trial Refer is a mobile app and website platform that helps connect doctors and patients to current clinical trial opportunities. 

CTR is a not for profit founded by Professor Judith Trotman (Haematologist, Concord Hospital NSW) and Ms Roslyn Ristuccia (Clinical Research Manager, St George Hospital NSW).  It is an evidence-based tool that is being rapidly adapted for use in a variety of disciplines.

ClinTrial Refer is free to download from the Apple app store and google play.  The App is free to public access and can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Opin is a global database of every actively-recruiting clinical trial and research study in the world, giving patients and healthy volunteers easy access to the world’s leading medical research from wherever they are.

Join Us is a simple and secure online register that helps researchers recruit for studies to prevent, treat and find cures for disease. It matches participants with research studies, including clinical trials, that address Australia’s biggest health challenges. Join Us was established in 2020 by The George Institute, a leading not-for-profit independent global medical research institute, along with UNSW Sydney. There are over 50 partner organisations working with Join Us to strengthen Australia’s research capability, empower consumers to get involved in research, improve health and wellbeing for the whole community and foster equity in research.
